We want you to enjoy living in your home and make the necessary investment to ensure your Co-op Homes' property is at least the Decent Home standard. We have an Asset Management Plan, approved by our Board, which sets out our approach to this. You can find this here.
Additionally, its important that our residents with a disability can live in their home comfortably and enjoy a quality standard of life. We will help to achieve this by working with you to provide the aids and adaptions you require to give you full access and assistance to live independently. This may involve simple adaptations or large reconstruction projects. Our Aids and Adaptations page gives you more details about this.
We're also happy to listen if you're thinking about making alterations to your home. in the first place you should contact us to tell us what your plans are as you need Co-op Homes' or your landlord’s written permission to carry out alterations BEFORE starting any works.
Please write in or email customer.services@coophomes.coop giving
1. Your name and address
2. Your landlord
3. A brief description of the works you would like to carry out.
We will assess the likely scope of the works and let you know the next steps (after referring the matter to your landlord if you are not a Co-op Homes' tenant).
